Jill Matuska

Welcome to sixth grade! In sixth grade it is time for you to switch for all of your classes, enter into a new social world and begin accepting challenges, encouragement, frustrations and disappointments. Do not be worried, the staff at Jordan Middle School will help you through these challenging times, along with your families.

I have been teaching in the Jordan District since 2001. I have had the opportunity to teach grades 1, 5 and 6. These three grades have all unique and fun qualities that I would never replace, and always will enjoy.
My goal for all students is to have them become the best possible student and person that one can be. I would like to see them reach a new potential that they never thought they could ever reach. As they say, "the sky's the limit."

I am originally from Moorland, Iowa, which is near the town of Fort Dodge. I grew up on a farm and am the youngest of four girls. I went to college at Minnesota State University, Mankato and going back for my Masters.  In my free time, my husband and I enjoy watching and playing sports, fishing, traveling and spending time with our family and friends.
I look forward to starting a new school year with many challenges, laughs, and successful stories to be shared.
Let's make this be the year of growth and success!
