Jordan Industrial Technology
Welcome to the Jordan Public Schools Industrial Technology Department! My name is Mr. McClellan. During my two years with Jordan Schools, the IT area has seen many changes from a renovations of the shop area, to the evolution of a progressive curriculum. Prior to Jordan, I taught in New Ulm at the high school level for 10 years, and New Prague for eight years. It's been exciting to combine my experiences from traditional "shop" classes and the progressive technology/engineering classes together to create relevant learning for the 21st century student.
As a student myself, I enjoyed the hands on learning that allowed me to apply the skills acquired in core classes. This made learning real for me and inspired me to make teaching a career, allowing me to share the things that I enjoy with students. I started my education at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato where I received an Associate of Arts degree. I graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in Technology Education and a minor in Manufacturing Engineering. In 2010, I received a Master of Education degree from Saint Mary's University.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Lanae (Jordan Elementary 4th grade teacher) and two daughters, Molly and Megan.
